You can claim the cost dentures along with all other medical expenses paid out-of-pocket as Medical Expenses on Schedule A. I f you itemize your deduction, you can deduct only the part of your medical and dental expenses that exceeds 7.5% of the amount of your adjusted gross income on Form 1040 or 1040-SR, line 11.
To enter your medical expenses:
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Federal Taxes.
- Go to Deductions and Credit.
- Scroll down to Medical and click show more.
- Select start next to Medical expenses.
