I totally understand your frustration -- no idea WHY Turbo has to constantly make these dumb changes - and
then has no one to help. Last year I went to weeks of frustration regarding JP Morgan vs Chase download (again, main problem was with Mac). This year was the keychain problem.
Anyway, I went thru several days of frustration with this stupid "keychain" problem -- trying to figure out what the hek they were talking about. At one point, I used my sign in password that I used on my Mac, and it worked - I was so happy. BUT then when I tried saving my work, it would not let me - that stupid message kept showing and I could not get rid of it - can't remember how I finally did get rid of it. SO FRUSTRATING!!
Finally after several days trying to figure it out, I called, and as I was on the phone, I put in my Mac password, and then hit "always allow" vs just hitting the "enter" button -- and it worked!!! I know this sounds very simplistic but I went totally crazy for several days trying to figure it out. I guess by talking it out with the TT representative (very nice person), it helped (even though I figured it out on my own). I was clicking on "allow", putting in my number, and then hitting enter. By hitting "always allow" instead of the "enter" button - it worked -- and has been working since. No further problems.
I am sure you have already tried this-- but who know, maybe, like me, you have been hitting the "enter" button after entering your code?? I could not believe all my days of aggravation (and I do get upset and aggravated very easily so it was not a pleasant 3- days!) and it turned out to be something so simple - for me at least. I never did figure out what the hek they were talking about with the keychain crap. I did do a download from Costco - not sure if that makes a difference.
I guess I will never understand why Turbo Tax changes these things without doing any kind of testing -- especially on Mac computers, since they know those are the ones where they always run into trouble.
