I've filed with TurboTax the past couple of years, I don't recall the upsells being so aggressive. I declined premium many times, and when I filed I was charged for premium in the end.
Does anyone else feel like Intuit is being deceptive with its plans? I thought I was being careful to file with the minimum charge. I feel like I was tricked into a more expensive filing option and don't have any recourse.
The point is to be very careful! Intuit has engineered the site in a way to get maximum profit. Not surprising, since they pay lobbyists millions so tax filing isn't streamlined like it is in almost every other country. Just a vent at this point, but I absolutely hate Intuit. Hopefully I remember this come tax time next year 🙂
