You want to make sure that you have told the software your correct status as a resident of Florida or Michigan.
In TurboTax Online,
- Click My Info down the left side of the screen.
- Click Edit to the right of your name.
- Make sure that the correct information has been entered under State of residence (on December 31, 2022) and I lived in another state in 2022.
To select a state tax return,
- Click State Taxes down the left side of the screen.
- Click Prepare State.
- Click Add another state at the screen Status of your state returns to select the correct state tax return.
