Hi, I am doing my 2022 taxes and bumped into this thread.....I have identical issue - My 2021 taxes done thru turbo tax (saved as PDF) does not contain form 6251!
Here is the screenshot. What is interesting is that there is a link for help "What if I don't have 6251?" - The screenshot shows the contents of the help screen as well. It suggest enter 1040 Line 10 amount - Is this a typo? Because the amount that turbo tax picked up ($38,553) is actually 1040 (2021) line 11 - adjusted Gross income (not line 10).
My questions:
- Is the help screen a typo? Meaning it should read as 1040 line 11 instead of 10?
- If it is really 1040 line 11 then if the amount matches I can proceed with the listed amount - Correct?
- My 2021 1040 line 10 (adjusted to income from Schedule 1) is $187 - Should overwrite $38,553 with $187 as suggested by help screen
- Simply delete form 6251?
- Any other help
