Get your taxes done using TurboTax
You should enter the 3 that are not included in the original import manually. If they are all from the same bank you can add them together and enter them as 1 item. Follow these steps:
- Identify the specific accounts that are not showing as part of your interest income.
- If you are not already at the interest income entry area, click on Wages & Income, then scroll to Investments and savings, and click on +add investments
- Click Continue
- Click Enter a different way
- Click in the box for interest and then click continue at the bottom
- Click on Type it in myself
- Enter the bank name, who the 1099-INT belongs to, and the interest amount in Box 1 for the interest NOT previously imported.
- Click Continue
- The next screen is normally none of these apply but make sure to read if there is a situation listed that applies to you.
- Click continue
- You will see your Investments and Savings summary. Make sure the interest you entered plus the interest that was previously reported agrees with the total interest on the 1099-INT
- If all is good click confirm at the bottom and you should return to the Wages & income summary page for all entered income.
