Validation Code Required after Update - General TT Failures
- The Intuit TT PC product team fails to address critical flaws in TT year after year. Here are 2 such examples:
a) Every time an update occurs and TT restarts, or you shutdown your PC and start next day, you have to re-enter the validation code or key. Multiple complaints about this over the years have not been addressed. And there is no excuse for this failure to fix this. Looking this up in the community forum suggests the issue is that your PC is not fast enough to respond or connect to the TT server, suggesting that you check your router, anti-virus, VPN, IP settings, etc.. NO other software app on the PC has this issue. If the TT server expects a response within 10milliseconds - on today's Internet that is not possible. So the real correction here is to increase the time out on the TT server or TT on the PC (whichever is timing out) to a reasonable amount of time - say 50-100 milliseconds. This is a TT issue. b) After the update TT starts at the beginning of your return and not where you left off. - Taking up where you left off: You start TT adjust your TT window - because the default is too (repeat too) small. Perform an update and the set window size is lost and you have to reset the window size back. Again, a fundamental erro that has been TT editions for the PC for many many years.
FIX this, address the fundamental flaws . . . Please - it would make for a happier user experience
