I am a college student who only made $6k. I have a small amount of capital gain from a mutual fund distribution ($150) - I do not need to file a Schedule D as there are no capital losses or carryovers Last year I was able to file using Turbo Tax Free even with the same situation. This year it is telling me that I need to upgrade to a paid version. Anyone know why the change or is there a way around this?
