1095-C Form for Separated individuals tax filing
I am separated from my spouse, and we have 2 children who reside with her. We currently don't have any separation agreement in force, but just living our lives separately. Since our divorce is not finalized, and NJ state does not have/recognize "Legal Separation" like some other states in USA, they continue to get medical coverage under my employer provided insurance plan until our divorce in finalized.
My spouse is filing tax as Head of household with our dependent children, and I'm filing as Single. My employer is providing me 1095-C form with my address and all 4 individuals listed with health coverage. Can my separated spouse use that (my) 1095-C form to file her tax returns? Or she cannot use my 1095-C because she is currently living separately at a different address than what is listed on my 1095-C form (ie. the individuals listed with coverage HAVE to be residing at the same address listed on the 1095-C form)?
