Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you earn income from any of your investments this year, you may have to pay the net investment income tax, in addition to the regular income taxes you owe.

Form 8960 (Net Investment Income Tax – Individuals, Estates, and Trusts) used for the 3.8% surtax on investment income for the Affordable Care Act.

If you have income from investments and your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) exceeds $200,000 for individuals, $250,000 for spouses filing jointly, and $125,000 for spouses filing separately, TurboTax will include Form 8960 with your return.

What is Form 8960?

If you need to file form 8960 with your return, you won't be able to efile until the form is available.
