I helped a friend who owns a business with a woodworking project, and I received a 1099 NEC. How do I report it? I am not a business owner. I entered it under 1099 NEC and it automatically went under business income, I think this is correct. I selected this is not money earned as an employee or self employed, it is from a sporadic activity or hobby (this is not common). Is that wrong? It stayed under the 1099 NEC area. I think has to go under business income. I need help, please.
