Thank you for the reply.  If the 1099-B is typically more complex, all the more reason that imoprt via pdf should be made to work so manual errors are avoided.  In any case, I'm dealing with a consolidated pdf version, from which DIV info was extracted just fine -- but TT does not attempt to get B info in the same way.   If import electronically can work from the bank, then all the relevant fields exist just as in the pdf.  The import from pdf works for interest, dividends, and cryptocurrency, but not for stocks or 'other'. The [Bring it over from my bank, upload from my computer, snap a photo] menu doesn't come up for those two categories. Seems like an opportunity for improvement.
