Yes, you can file a simple federal return for free using TurboTax.
If you have already logged into TurboTax:
- Click on Tax Tools near the bottom of the left side menu.
- All the way at the bottom, select Switch to Free Edition.
- The next screen explains the program will keep most of your information, but you may need to re-enter some of it.
- Once you confirm that is what you want to do, you will be taken back to the beginning of the return and you will need to review and possibly re-enter some of your information.
