1099-NEC received Form does NOT contain a EIN number.
I only have (payers name, recipient name, payer TIN, Recipient TIN, & non-employee compensation)
again, the first issue is i do not own a business. This is REQUIRED information in order to continue, and that cannot be provided/submitted. The first question asked is "Tell us the type of self-employment work you do"
I do not know how to enter this form. Even is I "go with it" and continue to fill boxes to get the page headed "OK, let’s get some details from your 1099-NEC", I am once again at a standstill as I do NOT have a "payer's federal ID number". Nor does my document contain any number sequence that fits either the formate or correct count of sequenced numbers. ei (XX-XXXXXXX) OR (XXX-XX-XXXX)
Ive attempted support via phone. The first attempt was with call back option. I was promptly called only to be told by a machine "this is the last attempt to call. Goodbye". I called the second time, and after listening to the entire menu the call went completely silent for close to 4 minutes before ending. I attempted call back option again, only this time my screen said that if i needed assistance that i should call support or request a call/email.
for my third attempt calling, once i got through the machine it sounded as if my call was accepted, and the receiver had set their headset down. i heard a sounds that resembled eating from a bag of chips. then after 4 and a half minutes the call was ended.
I do not understand why I was hung up on 3 times without ever speaking to a person for assistance. I am not willing to try that again.
