I work for a daycare center. Last year, a different company awarded educators money (2021). I received a 1099-NEC from them last year. This year, the same company awarded employees money (2022) and they sent a 1099-MISC. Why would they send 2 different kinds of forms? When I tried to submit my taxes with the 1099-MISC, it was asking me questions regarding self-employment and trying to fill out another form. I'm confused. Please help?
