Get your taxes done using TurboTax

As TiffanyL stated, this is a situation where deleting the W-2 and reentering manually should alleviate your problem.  The following steps presupposed you have a paper copy of your W-2 handy.  Please follow the following steps:

  1. Click on Wages & Income on the left side of your screen
  2. At the "Job (W-2) click on "Edit/Add" where you see the W-2 in question
  3. The next screen will show the W-2 in question and any other W-2's you have entered.  Locate the problem W-2 and click on the trash can next to it.
  4. It will ask you "Are you sure?" and click yes, then Continue
  5. You will return to the Wages & Income Screen so click on the "Job (W-2)" Edit/Add, and then follow the steps
  6. Click on "Add a W-2" and enter the Employer Identification Number in the space provided
  7. At the next screen click on "I'll type it in myself"
  8. Enter the remaining information but leave the Control number box blank.

That should solve the problem with your W-2.
