This is not specifically about my daughter filing her own taxes. I usually do them for her and they have not been done yet for 2022. It's about getting the American Education Credit. My 20 year old daughter meets all the criteria of being a dependent. She's a US Citizen, under 24 and a full time student, is not being claimed by anyone else, files "Single", and lives at home 12 months a year. Turbo Tax is still listing her as a "non-dependent" and says she is not qualified for the American Education Credit
