Yes, you are of course correct that QCDs do not change the IRA basis. ( https://obliviousinvestor.com/qualified-charitable-distributions-from-an-ira-with-basis/ ) I will alert the TurboTax folks to the issue in case it is in the current year offering. Do look at your 2021 return and see what TT did on form 8606. I suspect it subtracted the QCD from your basis on that form. If that was the case, you had best amend the 2021 return to correct it.
