You'll want to look over your general information entered for self-employment income. Ensure all items under general info, payments and identification, tax details, and other situations are filled out for your business.
When filling out Form 1099-NEC, follow these steps:
- Select Edit beside Self-Employment
- scroll down to Income, select edit beside 1099-NEC, or Select Add income for this work
- Select Form 1099-NEC under common income
- Answer questions form 1099-NEC (make sure the information for the payer is filled in. If it is incomplete, an error will occur)
