In addition, you can take depreciation for a full 27.5 years if you choose. Property taxes, cleaning expenses, repairs, mortgage interest are among the many expense deductions that you may claim. These are but a few of the deductions available when renting a home. Also be aware of the downside which could include naughty renters and squatters
