In general, infertility treatments for one or both spouses are considered medical expenses and are deductible per IRS Publication 502

 

I do want to mention one unique scenario: I did find a Private Letter Ruling from the IRS where a same-sex (both male) married couple was not allowed to deduct expenses for surrogacy and IVF on the surrogate, because the medical expenses were incurred for a third party - the surrogate - and not for either taxpayer.

 

But outside of that scenario, I see no reason that infertility treatments purchased for you or your spouse would not be a deductible medical expense.
