just like the original poster, my great "back up service" did not back up my .tax2017 file. It exists, but on my solidstate drive in a storage facility that I cannot access for a few more months. I did the .pdf import and TT did get my personal info.
Is there "any" other way to get the full historical data (as if I had access to my .tax2017)?
I can now see the advantages of using TT online.
Otherwise, I will lose my year by year comparisons, which had been extremely helpful.
