i think the appropriate steps are as follows
First of all , log on to TurboTax. But not on the link from the email. Go to TurboTax.com. Sign in and verify all seems to be fine and no messages suggesting any issues with your account. Once that is verified
1. forward the email to spoof@intuit.com
2. categorize the email as spam and/or delete the message
I did this and also agreed to unsubscribe from ID Notify when it came up
