I plan to marry someone who has children (and joint custody) with her ex. What are all my tax filing options given that situation (filing jointly, separate, etc.)?

-Ex pays child support
-Ex is prior military and therefore provides medical coverage for the children
-Fiancé and I will not be living together for the first couple of years (out of state) due to work obligations
