what was the error?
if the error was based on the user (data entry error), the the guanentee doesn't cover that. (if the IRS adjusted Line 28 or Line 30 of Form 1040 - that is a user error, sorry to say - millions made the mistake)
if the data entry was correct, but TT calculated something incorrectly, the guarentee will cover penalties and interest, but not the tax itself.
