Step 0. make a copy of your .tax20nn file in case you have to start over.
A) open your return for revision. Use the "Add a State" trick to reopen your filed tax return.
B) revise to match the IRS changes.
C) click Save
D) click "Amend"
E) make your new change.
your 1040-X column A will show original amounts "or as adjusted by IRS", which is what you want.
