I'm glad I found this thread to confirm that it's not just me... USAA was an insanely great company for the 15+ years I've been a customer and then six months ago they decided to do a 180 and become a terrible company. It's disappointing. They ruined what used to be great credit card rewards, their insurance premia went sideways, their basic banking accounts don't keep up with market interest rates.
I'm migrating pretty much everything to Allstate for insurance and CapitalOne for banking. Better bundle rates with Allstate, better credit card rewards and yields on savings that actually make it better to put your money there than under a mattress. So long USAA - it was good while it lasted.
