Couldn't agree more that an API is a better choice but for a vendor to blindly change your ability to get data for a mutual customer without notifying anyone of the change is a poor plan. Then for USAA to not own up to the problem and finally try to tell customers it is a Mint problem is just plain deceptive.
I am certain Intuit doesn't have programmers just sitting around waiting for other companies to make changes that break their software. They likely have a change control process and release path for their software development.
