I recently took notice that federal taxes are not being taken out of my paycheck. I have 4 dependents. I setup this to be taken out. I was told to reach out to payroll. When I did they said I am not the only one going through this that IRS is saying based on the information, they cannot take out federal taxes. Why is this happening? I want them to take out taxes because I don't want to owe at the beginning of the year.
