TurboTax Business for Mac or online now that Windows 8.1 is dropped? (for a simple trust)
I have kept a slow clunky virtual machine around with Windows 8.1 on my Mac solely for the purpose of running TurboTax Business in order to file a trust return.
It is a relatively simple return that doesn't very much justify this complexity.
It makes little sense to spend the time and resources to upgrade that virtual machine for just this one program.
Is there any hope to have a Mac or online version for this? I suspect the answer is no.
Will I have to just move over to using paper?
The underlying compute platform works on a Mac because I use TurboTax for Home and Business on my Mac.
I may try to eke out one more tax year by seeing if the desktop version will work on the existing Windows 8.1 as is.
The risk of using it should be low since it isn't used for any other purpose and is only run for Turbox for a few hours therefore not being very exposed.
