If I used the online version, I am guessing my history from the prior year can't be used and it will be as if I am starting fresh with my 2022 tax filing-is this correct?
If you use the online version for your 2022 tax return, you "CAN" import prior year tax data from the .tax2021 file on your computer. So you would need to copy the .tax2021 file from the windows computer if you can, to somewhere on the new computer (if possible with a chromebook) so that you can access it and import from it using the online 2022 tax program.
