MANY THANKS for your response - so far you are the ONLY ONE who has offered a SPECIFIC advice & INFO in my 'emergency' situation ...!
For the PAST WEEK, I'm DAILY & DESPERATELY trying to find ANY EFFECTIVE and DIRECT CONTACT FROM the TurboTax 2021-Home & Business SUPPORT STAFF through the Website but I'm completely shocked to find out that there is NOT ANY SUCH SUPPORT PROVIDED by the TurboTax/Intuit which would SPECIFICALLY offer HELP WITH TurboTax 2021 SOFTWARE ISSUES like 'FATAL ERROR 1603' in the Software 'PROGRAM UPDATES' Section (!).
I have been a loyal customer of TurboTax/Intuit for OVER 20 years, living in State of Washington BUT I've never experienced before such a 'FATAL ERROR' of the TurboTax Software, and MAINLY - an ABSOLUTE LACK OF CUSTOMERS SUPPORT WITH the TurboTax Software problems ...! The so-called' Company's Support' is almost entirely concern ONLY about THEIR MARKETING OBJECTIVES of NEW PRODUCTS and IGNORING to PROVIDE an EFFECTIVE HELP & SERVICE TO THEIR PRESENT CUSTOMERS (!).
Below I'm enclosing a copy of my TODAY'S POSTING (October 11) in the Community TurboTax Website for your further info. Yesterday I have spent a whole hour on-the-phone [phone number removed], Case# [phone number removed] but UNFORTUNATELY - the intense efforts of the Specialist did NOT RESOLVE this 'FATAL ERROR 1603' in the Software 'PROGRAM UPDATES' SECTION in the Software (!) - and she has advised me to call [phone number removed] again if necessary with my Case# and ask for further help which I'm going to do as soon as I finish & send this very urgent message to you ...however, I'm already loosing any hope to find an effective help so - I'd like to ask you urgently for your following advice:
- because I'm now almost hopeless WHAT-TO-DO (?!?), will you please tell me if there is a Representative/Agent/Specialist of TurboTax/Intuit in State of Washington whom I could contact LOCALLY to help me with this SPECIFIC TurboTax 2021-Home & Business problem regarding 'FATAL ERROR 1603' in the Software 'PROGRAM UPDATES' SECTION ...? I'm a retired Programmer and I strongly suspect that this error is caused by a fault in the Software's 'PROGRAM UPDATES' SECTION which is constantly 'looping around' between 2 messages after running the 'PROGRAM UPDATES' Installer: 1 message is stating that the 'PROGRAM UPDATES' were successfully installed, and the other IGNORES it after relaunching (opening) the TurboTax Program - it insists and requests to run the 'PROGRAM UPDATES' event again (...and again!).
- will you please review my 2 postings above if you need further clarification of this matter BUT I believe this 'FATAL ERROR 1603' looks like a relatively simple fault involving a programming 'looping' error which is 'locked up', and the 2 messages are directly contradicting each other (1 of them is clearly FALSE) ...which does NOT MAKE ANY SENSE(!).
In view of this hassle, could you bring this matter of ELEVATED-EMERGENCY level and pass it to the attention of the appropriate Senior Management staff, because I urgently NEED AN ADVICE WHAT TO DO if this Software failure could not be successfully resolved by OCTOBER 17th which is the deadline for submitting my Tax Return Exemption as requested by IRS.
NOTE: my Return is otherwise completed MANY DAYS AGO but it has been STALLED by this UNEXPECTED TurboTax Software failure from mailing it to IRS.
