Is received company swag considered as taxable income?

I reported a broken link (URL) contained in an automated email message I received from a tech company.

They updated the link and asked me for my T-shirt size so they could send me some swag "by way of thanks".

I did that, and they sent more than just a T-shirt: swag with a total retail value of about $25 to $50 USD.

According to Column: Taxable swag: If you got free goodies, the IRS wants to know, it looks like the IRS may consider that to be taxable income.

Is that correct?
