I'm considering getting solar energy for our home and know that there is now a 30% federal tax credit available. I'm retired and my wife is working but our taxes are not nearly as much each year as I am told the credit would be. Can this credit be taken over future years? If so, how many years? Also, if the work is done this year, can I take the credit against our 2022 taxes?
