I used TY2020 TurboTax Online Premier DIY State and followed all directions and I still got audited. The department of taxation and finance audit division said that I received this because: We changed your NYS tax return to include Unemployment Compensation you received from NYS. They said they used the amount that NYS department of labor reported to them on form 1099-G. So I now have to pay them $283.26. Why is there a discrepancy when I filled in everything I was asked to online? I don't understand why this is the case. How do I confirm this is correct on my end before I pay this??
