Thanks for the replies, especially from VolvoGirl. I will hope for the best when I call Turbotax Support this week, although I wish they made it easier to get through their automated system in order to talk to an actual human being. (Going through the automated voicemail system earlier today led "them" to think I wanted to file an amended tax return--which I don't!) I DID buy a cheap external CD/DVD drive--from Amazon--which was highly rated, to go with my new Dell Desktop PC, but it doesn't work! So now I can't use the Turbotax on that defective drive nor download it (as already bought and paid for) from the Turbotax website. The main reason I even bought an otherwise unnecessary external CD/DVD drive was to be able to install the last few years of Turbotax CD's I'd been buying for more than 20 years. I'm hoping that someone in Customer Support will be able to help me out of this Catch-22 when I try calling them yet again. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.
