Sales Job with base salary + commissions

If I currently have a software sales position which includes a base salary + commissions.

Whats the best way for me to figure out how much tax I should be proactively taking out of each paycheck so that I dont have a huge tax liability when filing my 2022 income taxes?

Thanks in advance

Since your income doesn't come in a constant fashion   the employer should be compensating  automatically.   Usually the commission checks withhold at a higher tax rate so you usually have more than you need withheld naturally.

Hello JTL9230!

TurboTax has a free tax calculator which can help you determine how much you may owe . There is a link to that provided below and a link to the tax table which shows you what you owe according to your tax filing status.

Both will help you fill out your W-4.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using TurboTax Live!
