Who doesn’t love getting a tax refund check in the mail or deposited directly into your bank account! It’s like finding money you didn’t even know you had. Tax refunds are a source of relief for many taxpayers who have overpaid their taxes throughout the year. For those that have yet to receive their tax refund, next week we’re hosting the All About the Refund event.

 

Depending on your financial goals or priorities, there are many different ways to put your tax refund to work! You could pay off debt, save for emergencies, take a vacation, or invest for retirement. For our Sweepstakes this month, we’re discussing tax refunds and giving our community members another chance to win a $100 gift card. Simply share what you plan on doing with your tax refund below to be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card.  A winner will be randomly selected from this thread on April 5, 2023.    

 

If you have questions about your tax refund, please join us for a LIVE Q&A on  Wednesday, April 5th between 9:00am and 5:00pm Pacific Time to ask Tax and Financial Experts your questions and get advice about taxes and personal finance, for free! During this event you can ask our tax experts anything you want about your tax refund. It’s not uncommon to have questions such as “How do I know when to expect to receive my refund?” or “How can I track the progress of my refund?”

I’m spending mine by paying all of my negative effecting credit I have and gonna fix the burdens holding me back professionally!

I've been using TurboTax since 1994, when it came in floppy disc. Had to load 5 floppy's back then. TurboTax has come a long way since then. I've help numerous people with their taxes and still do. Mostly elderly people or College students who can't afford a CPA.  I don't charge them, but they always have a small gift for me that warms the heart. It's because of TurboTax that I can help others.

Plan on using my refund to travel home and see my granddaughter and the rest of my family.

As a first-year Independent Contractor, I used my Federal refund to pay estimated taxes for 2023. Didn't hurt at all, LOL

I will become current in my accounts that I have & add saving account for emergencies. I will also invest in my cleaning business and get a top of line vacuum!!! Lol, It is really the little things 🙂 Thank you to the community for helping me navigate through my tax questions. I usually don’t leave reviews, just stars but TurboTax is the real deal.

I didn't get a refund this time. I am self-employed, and I owed. But TurboTax provided a lot of support to get it all figured out!

I have decided to update my master bath, and I will use my refund to pay part of it. I've picked out my design, materials and colors and am really looking forward to it.

 I would love more then anything to help provide in giving my son, the best 3rd birthday ever, next month!

My little man deserves it! No doubt. He's my world 💙🌎 

Plus his cousin has the same birthday and I'd love to do something exciting! After all the tax stress and being a stay at home mom id like to say I gave it my all before I go back to work full time!

 

Pay off the debt I owe from not receiving my taxes from last year, that I didn't have a doubt in my mind I wasn't going to RECIEVE it. Now it messed up my credit and closed my account. Still has yet to be figured out hopefully today will be the day. All because of me getting my first year to claim my first child and things got all messed up & I lost a lot and a lot of negative impact on things in my life. So to say the least taxes have been stressful, and I just want a professional to help me get this solved and give everyone in the end the fairness and money we are owed, and peace of mind. 🙏🏼💯

My refund makes up for the extra amounts I had to pay quarterly last ear. It almost wipes the slate clean.
