What is the Additional Child Tax Credit?
by TurboTax• Updated 5 months ago
The Additional Child Tax Credit can be worth up to $1,600, depending on your income. You must have at least $2,500 in earned income to claim the credit.
The Additional Child Tax Credit can be claimed when the full Child Tax Credit can’t be used.
You can also claim the Additional Child Tax Credit if you are a US citizen living abroad. If you do, you can't claim the Foreign Income Exclusion, Housing Exclusion, or the Housing Deduction.
