How do I delete Form 8829
If you're trying to get rid of an unnecessary Form 8829 (Expenses for Business Use of Your Home) and you're not having luck with manually deleting it, try this:
Navigate to the home office section:
TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to the home office screen under Wages & Income
TurboTax Desktop: Search for home office and select the Jump to link or,
Go to Federal Taxes.
Go to Wages & Income.
If asked, How do you want to...? select I'll choose what I work on.
Under Business Items, select Start or Update next to Business Income and expenses.
On the Your 2025 self-employed work summary screen, select Edit to the right of your business name.
Scroll down to Expenses and select the trash can icon next to Home office. (If you have more than one home office, choose the home office you want to delete.) Confirm by selecting Yes when asked if you're sure you want to delete the form(s).
