How to complete California Estimated Fee for LLCs Form 3536

by TurboTax1 Updated 2 weeks ago

California LLCs have to pay annual fees to the state to remain in good standing and conduct business in California. Form 3536 is the annual estimate and payment of those fees.

When to file

The Estimated Fee form applies to LLC’s with income of $250,000 or more, and the total fee is based on the total revenue of the LLC. The larger the gross receipts, the higher the fee.

Form 3536 must be filed by the 15th day of the 6th month after you first filed your LLC. After your initial filing, you’ll have to submit it by June 15th every year. Once filed, the voucher applies to next year's LLC tax.

Note: The countdown starts from the 1st of the month that you filed your LLC regardless of the day of the month you actually filed your paperwork.
