Hi. I was laid off this summer. That comes with a large severance package ($135K) and I have six months to liquidate my stock options (worth ~$1.6m).
I haven't been able to find much information on how the Inflation Reduction Act will impact my taxes, except that those with an income less than $400K won't be impacted. That won't be me this year. How can I evaluate the impact of liquidating my stock options this year vs next year vs some this year and some next (I've confirmed that this option is available to me.)
