Retirement tax questions
Recommended Answer from TurboTax help:
Enter Form 1099-R from your traditional IRA under Retirement Plans in the Wages & Income section.
Pay close attention to the code in Box 7, as this number will direct TurboTax to ask you specific questions about what you did with the money you withdrew. One of the answers is that you contributed the funds to a Roth IRA. Complete the interview to record the entire transaction.

Retirement tax questions
Based on the answer above, it appears that Box 7 on the 1099-R entry screen is not functioning correctly for 401K to Roth conversion codes. When I enter the (correct) code "G-Direct rollover and rollover contribution" from my provided 1099-R form, I would expect to be prompted later for the details about the new Roth conversion when I'm going through the IRA screen. That is not the case. I see only the carried-forward details of the conversion I made the previous (2017) tax year. As a result, the IRA Information Worksheet is not being updated with the new 2018 conversion info. Please advise.
