Retirement tax questions
No, you cannot change the 1099-R form. Enter it exactly as it was reported. TurboTax will allow you to make any adjustments after you enter the 1099-R form.
- Log on to TurboTax.
- Click on the Take me to my return button.
- On the left navigation bar, click on Federal.
- Click on the Wages & Income tab.
- Edit/Add the 1099-R.
- Continue with the onscreen interview until you get to the What Did You Do With The Money From This Payer?screen,
- click on the appropriate response.
- If you select I rolled over all of this money to another IRA...., that will make your IRA NOT TAXABLE.
