I have a 1099 from a US Broker showing interest received from different sources (US and Foreign Sources). Can I break down that 1099 in two (or more) to account for Foreign Interest Income in order to link it to form 1116 ?
You don't link it. During the interview, you insert into the screen the amount of foreign source income. TT will see the tax withheld in box 6.
