The second part the the interview will ask if you tracked your non-deductible basis, enter it and then the 2016 Dec. 31, total year end value of all Traditional IRA accounts for that spouse if filing jointly.

Be sure to choose which spouse the 1099-R is for if this is a joint tax return.
