I have $86 excess 401k contribution. I entered the excess amount in "other incomes" but TT still complains based on W2 figures. How can I fix this problem?
I changed jobs in 2018 and in the process I ended up $86 over the 401K limit. Neither company spotted this problem so my W2s show this excess amount. I followed the recommendation from a contributor on the TT community and added the amount as "Other Income" and provided a description for it. However, TurboTax isn't satisfied. It still fails the federal check.
