I can't get past the date acquired portion under 1099-b...is this a software glitch?

i've entered the date acquired and click continue and it just keeps going right back to enter the date acquired, which is the only thing holding me up from filing my taxes.  it says if i can't fix it, i'll have to mail my return....it also already took my money for filing, when i haven't actually been able to file

Sometimes when there is a date box, the MM, DD, and YYYY get mixed up. Try highlighting the contents of the entire cell and clicking delete several times to make sure that not even a space exists in this area.

Then, enter the date sequence and confirm that it is reading it in full. For example, for January 20, 2020, enter 01202020 in this area.
