Can I not fund a Roth when I stated I would for 2016
I filed my 2016 taxes stating I would fund a Roth IRA. If decide not to fund by April 15 th do I need to file an amendment?

Retirement tax questions
In general, no amendment is needed for deciding not to fund a Roth IRA. There is no deduction, thus no entry for a Roth contribution.
Note: If you too the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit based on your intended Roth IRA contribution, then you would need to amend your return.
