Foreign residential rental is 40 year recovery.
Non-residential rental is 39 years recovery.
End calculation depends on you making the correct selection in the Turbotax program.

In my case, it is not foreign! And the only option I had when I wanted to include Depreciation as expense was (Non-residential ...!) The other options were related to Improvements ...etc. !!

(Non-residential ) KEY of wrong selection on screen "what type of property is this"...residential rental is 27.5 years recovery.
The incorrect selection was made on the screen "what type of property" is this "Single family"gives 27.5 years
Commercial gives 39 years.
Needs a review and correction.
